If it were really that easy to make money on the internet, everyone would do it. This would drive the price down cheaper and cheaper making it less profitable.
Any business with low barriers to entry (cheap to get into) usually don't pay that well.
Selling books on amazon.com or objects on ebay can give you a decent source of extra income. But doing it full-time is very hard work for the money you'd be making.
Some ebays who are successful buy in bulk, and then sell it individually. They can make money, but anyone making much spends a lot of time at it, and you have to be very organized and have lots of storage rooms. (car seats were one such item that was in vogue)
Again, even in that operation the more doing it, the less profitable as people find what sells and hop in.
But I'd forget about it as a job. There's no magic golden goose eggs.
Online money making isn't that easy!
